Divorce Mediator Heading

Beaverton Mediator and Notary Public Matthew House, J.D.

No-Cost Notary Services for Mediation Clients

Matthew has been an Oregon Notary Public since 2017. He has found that being able to provide immediate notary services during mediation has calmed clients' nerves and restored their trust in each other -- or at least it has not required them to rely on trust alone.

Somewhat regularly, one spouse asks the other to commit to something in writing. Having Matthew there to draft and notarize even the simplest agreement provides instant peace of mind. It could be as brief as a single short paragraph.

Matthew often recommends that clients have him notarize the Marital Settlement Agreement. This step is particularly important if there will be a pause between mediation and filing. Further, if clients want a written agreement about certain details not to be included in their divorce paperwork (as a divorce judgment is a public record), Matthew can draft and notarize a private agreement as to those sensitive issues.

Matthew provides clients with no-cost notarization of other documents, during and after mediation, even if not divorce-related.
