Mediator Matthew House: Five Professionals in One

Matthew is the only family law mediator in the Portland Metro area who:
  • has a law degree and 20 years of experience as a full-time family law mediator; and
  • is a trained Family Law Financial Analyst (FLFA); and
  • is a child-centered divorce coach; and
  • provides free and ongoing services to preteen, teen, and young adult children of his clients, drawing upon 20 years of divorce-related advocacy and mentoring for tweens, teens, and young adults, and seven years of experience as a teacher of Grades 3-12; and
  • is an Oregon Notary Public.

If you do not have to hire a separate professional for each task, you’ll save considerable time and money.

When you entrust your divorce mediation to Matthew, you will not have to spend time, energy, and money explaining your needs over and over to multiple professionals and pay each one to begin at the ground level of your case. Because Matthew is knowledgeable and experienced at performing all of these roles, he will become familiar with your family and with your case.

Even with this comprehensive bevy of services unmatched in the Portland metro area mediation community, Matthew
maintains the lowest overall fees of any law-degreed mediator in the Portland area with comparable experience.
Matthew House is the only metro Portland mediator who has:a law degree and 20 years of experience as a mediator, Parenting Coach, and mentor providing free services to pre-teens, teens, and young adults; seven years as a K-12 educator; training as a Family Law Financial Analyst; and a Notary commission.
