Portland Divorce Mediation Fees: Matthew House, J.D.
If You Have One or More Children age 18-20 Attending School and No Minor Children:
Typical Services Provided:
- Three mediation sessions of two hours each: (6.0 hours)
- Marital Settlement Agreement Basic Structure (2.0 hours)
- College Child Support Documentation (child support stipulations and required calculation worksheet) (0.75 hours)
- One-hour Marital Settlement Agreement review session and one-half hour for one round of revisions (1.5 hours)
- Meeting(s) with the college-age child: FREE
Anticipated Fees for Typical Services:
- Before Session #1: Two-hour session plus 50% of the fees for the basic written documents detailed above
- Before Session #2: Two-hour session plus 50% of the fees for the basic written documents detailed above
- Before Session #3 and any additional sessions: Two-hour session fee
- Before the review session: One-hour session and 30 minutes of revision time after the session, plus any additional fees based on the agreed-upon conditions of the MSA.
- If you choose to receive services by email or phone between mediation sessions or after the final mediation session, those fees will be billed as the services are rendered.
Matthew's fees do NOT include:
- Paralegal fee of $500 paid directly to the independent paralegal (optional but highly recommended, so that you do not have fill out your own divorce forms or file them). Here is a description of her services.
- Filing fee: As of December 9, 2025, the filing fee is $301. If you want to check the most current fee schedule for the filing fee, you may do so by clicking here.
- If you have minor children, Oregon law requires a specific divorce parenting class. The fee ($70 to $200) is paid to the course administrator at the time that you register for the class.
